Isaiah 43:1-3 (KJV) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. ALL GLORY TO GOD! THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST IS PRAISED, HONORED, ADORED, MAGNIFIED FOREVER! Sometime before this happened, I was thinking about the verse Isaiah 43:2, thinking how the Lord had brought me through situations, and around that time was concerned and prayed that I would not have to walk through the fire in order not to get burned. Always ask God for everything. It is His will that He wants in our lives, and if our prayer is according to His will, In Jesus' Name, He will do it. Jesus said you shall ask anything in My Name and I will do it. Also, the evening or night before, my mom, and also a lady who used to attend our church and choir at the time, had prayed. Early February, 2010, there was a snowstorm in the middle of the country that delayed freight on the East Coast. The SOM at Copley? terminal called Henry for work Sunday morning February 7, 2010 around 2:30? a.m. Henry took a shower, got dressed, and went upstairs to check the weather on the computer for the Akron area, where he was going to work. The upstairs did not appear to him smoky when he was walking up the stairs and when he came up to the second floor. Henry checked the weather on the computer, turned off the computer, stood up, looked up, and saw a mist. The mist got thicker. Henry thought it was unusual for the upstairs to have smoke and thought it was an overdraft from the fireplace. Henry looked at the wall where the fireplace chimney area was located and saw smoke. The smoke was swirling. Then he saw it ignite, and the flames burst through the wall. He knew it was serious and called 911, picked up the telephone, got a dial tone, called 911, gave our address, said there was a fire, dropped the phone, and went downstairs and woke me up. I had stayed up late and had prayed that I would not miss playing at church. I went to sleep with my street clothes on and had only rested or slept for about 45 minutes when I heard, (Dor Dor?), "We have to leave the house now. There is a fire." (Sure.) I got up, It was very warm! This is easy. I can show my husband that I do what he says/ listen to him. I got up, did not put on socks, did I see a small fire through the bedroom wall(?), walked calmly through the warm hall, and entered the living room. I looked at the fireplace and it was was filled with fire. The last time the fireplace had wood was about an hour and a half before that and there was no flame before I went to sleep. I put on boots, scarf(2?s) and my coat. Henry said for me to put the car in the neighbor's driveway. I asked what neighbor. He said to pick one. I wanted the Lord's leading, thought about where I should park, left my little white Bible used for my quiet time, that I would normally take with me, on the piano bench, walked outside, went into the car, started the car, pulled out the driveway and parked the car in the front parking area of our neighbor's house, that is, the neighbors on the right facing our house. Later, I found out that the neighbors where I had parked were not home. Henry parked the truck next to our car, that was unusual, he went outside into the driveway, and said very calmly on his cell phone, 'Are you coming? There is a fire.' Around that time, Henry went back into the house and retrieved a picture that was on the wall in back of the piano. I asked Henry to get my Bible that was on the piano bench. Henry said no. He later said that the time when he was leaving the house with the picture was when he realized how someone can get disoriented in smoke. There was a little hole in the roof with smoke coming out. I prayed that the neighbors would not get woken up on account of something little like that. Then the fire spread across the top of the roof and kept spreading on the roof. Sirens from fire trucks were coming from directions other than from the direction of the Willoughby Hills Fire Station and our area lit up like a Christmas tree with fire trucks from about ten departments. Our neighbor from across the street went to the car and asked me if I was alright. I said I am alright, are you alright. Our neighbor said he was just asking. The verse that I was made to know when the top of the roof had fire was from Job and was that the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. That was when I thought we were going to get a new upstairs. It was the Lord. I called Henry’s place of work to let them know that Henry would not be coming in, got through the main Oregon(?), said something about thanking the SOM for calling, and they said they would let Copley know. The little hole also increased in size indicating fire on the second floor. The fire went up straight. It looked like a geyser, like Old Faithful. On some other later day, a neighbor mentioned the she had never seen a fire go straight up like that and the houses close by were not damaged. Firefighters kept asking me if there was another person in the house. I kept saying no. Firefighters kept saying that the Red Cross was coming. I said they were welcome to come if they wanted. Then they said that the Red Cross was late. I said whenever they wanted to come was fine. Another verse I was made to know was the one where Paul says that I count all things loss but for the cause of Christ. At that time I thought that was because I had gotten about 45 minutes of sleep. That was also the Lord. When it appeared that flames were seen through a window that was about four or five feet from where my Bible was located on the piano bench, I said to the Lord that I would not be mad at Him if.... He had done miracles before and that if there was any way the Bible would not get burned/ survive the fire, I asked that He would do this- something to that effect. The Lord also blessed me to be able to attend church service on time. A fire hose (or two) was blocking the car. I decided to ask the police first before walking away probably without anyone noticing. The police graciously gave me a ride to church early. A well-meaning brother in Christ had driven by our house while driving to church and made it known that we had a fire. Some hours later, when Henry was allowed back into the house he saw my little white Bible that was on the piano bench. It had survived the fire. Also, a Bible from Holocaust times that, to my knowledge, had survived another fire, had also survived the fire. Also, a 'Jesus Is The Reason For The Season' bookmark(?) did not burn. A dress near it was discarded. The little white Bible is currently... Our church family was proactive in their generous love in action, two from women's ministries said they wanted to be the ones to help (wording?), asked me what was needed (at that time did not think I needed anything I was very happy to have gotten to church), persons wanted to hear what had happened, and a cousin had gathered and brought items after church. The Lord did a lot of miracles including in building of a new house. One example is that the same day or next after the floor was put in, a Thursday afternoon, it rained very much, more than usual, the floor buckled and God provided as we were then able to get the material I wanted that was not used the first time at no extra cost. The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful testimony, I could it all loss but for the cause of Christ, a continuing amazing journey, opportunities to witness, with love and generosity from brothers and sisters in Christ, relatives, and with a new house. Also, Bibles, including the one that was on the piano bench survived the fire, and other. The apostle Paul suffered the loss of all things. Philippians 3:7-8a (KJV) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss but for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: (rest of 8 for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.). (NIV) But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ. Job 1:21b (KJV) the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. (NIV) The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised. Job 42:10b, 12a (KJV) also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. 12a So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: Job 42:10b, 12a (NIV) the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before. 12a The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first.
